Dindyal and Phillips set the chase
Glenn Phillips and Mavendra Dindyal added 77 for the opening wicket. Dindyal followed his debut duck with a patient 50 as the required rate stayed manageable.

Hetmyer and Sampson finish strongly
Maheesh Theekshana removed Dindyal and Shai Hope to give the Kings a narrow opening. Tight overs briefly pushed the chase deeper than expected after Guyana's strong opening stand.
Quentin Sampson answered with two sixes before Shimron Hetmyer hit four consecutive boundaries. Guyana completed the chase in 18.1 overs with 11 balls still available.
The unbeaten start is recorded on the CPL 2026 points table. The result also gave Guyana a valuable net run-rate lift before the tournament moved to its next host territory.
