CPL Step Challenge 2026: How to Join, Dates and 200 Million-Step Goal

Fans can join a 50-day virtual journey across the CPL host route, support their chosen franchise and help chase a combined target of 200 million steps.

How to join the CPL Step Challenge

Set up the YuMuuv challenge in six steps. Keep the code ready before opening the app.

    Download the YuMuuv app

    Scan the official QR code or search for YuMuuv in the Apple App Store on iPhone or Google Play Store on Android.

    Enter the challenge code

    Open YuMuuv and use the official sign-up code CPL-MOVES to enter the CPL Step Challenge.

    Complete your registration

    Provide your full name, email address and country of residence when the app asks for your participant details.

  4. 04

    Connect your step tracker

    Choose Apple Health on iOS or Google Fit on Android, then allow YuMuuv to read the step data needed for the challenge.

  5. 05

    Select your CPL team

    Choose the franchise you want to support. The 2026 team table uses average steps per participant, so each participant's activity affects the ranking.

  6. 06

    Start walking

    Check that your steps appear in YuMuuv, then keep moving through 19 September. Walks outdoors and steps recorded during everyday activity count toward your total.

Before you start: allow health-data access and confirm that a recent step count appears in YuMuuv. Tracker permissions or battery restrictions can interrupt syncing.

CPL Step Challenge returns for 2026

The Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League has brought back its fan Step Challenge for a second year. The 2026 edition starts on 1 August and ends on 19 September, giving participants 50 days to log activity while following the tournament.

CPL has set a shared target of 200 million steps. The virtual route moves through Antigua, St Kitts & Nevis, Saint Lucia, Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, Guyana and Barbados, with destination milestones unlocking digital content, trivia and team leaderboard updates.

How to join the CPL Step Challenge

Download the YuMuuv app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, open it and enter the official challenge code CPL-MOVES. Registration asks for your full name, email address and country of residence.

Choose a CPL team after completing your profile. The selected franchise determines which team leaderboard your activity supports, while your individual steps also count toward the competition-wide goal.

Connect Apple Health or Google Fit

YuMuuv can collect steps through Apple Health on iOS or Google Fit on Android. Select the appropriate tracker and grant the permissions needed for the health app to share step data with YuMuuv.

Check that step totals appear inside the challenge after setup. Phone settings, battery restrictions and health-data permissions can interrupt syncing, so participants should review both apps if a recent walk does not register.

How the team leaderboard works

CPL has changed the team scoring method for 2026. Franchise rankings will be based on average steps per participant, which means a team with fewer registered supporters can still compete if its members remain active.

Guyana Amazon Warriors supporters led the inaugural challenge with 53 million steps. Across all teams, fans recorded 179 million steps in 2025, which CPL described as more than 80,000 miles.

Milestones, content and prizes

Progress along the virtual host route will unlock CPL content, trivia, team tables and milestone updates. The announcement also says prizes are available during the challenge, but it does not publish a prize list or detailed eligibility terms.

Participants should use the YuMuuv challenge screen and official CPL updates for current prize rules, eligibility, winner selection and any territory restrictions before relying on a promotion.

Follow the challenge alongside CPL 2026

The Step Challenge overlaps almost the entire cricket season, which runs from 7 August to 20 September. Fans can use the CPL 2026 schedule to match each virtual destination with the tournament's host windows.

The CPL team directory covers all seven franchises, while the 2026 squad hub lists the players representing each side.
