Rain confirms a 19-run DLS victory
Defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders began their 2026 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League campaign with a 19-run DLS win over St Kitts and Nevis Patriots at Arnos Vale. TKR were 94 for 2 after 15 overs when a second interruption brought the match to an early finish.

Narine dismantles the Patriots top order
Sunil Narine returned figures of 3 for 7 and removed three of the Patriots' top four batters, including Kyle Mayers with his first delivery. The early damage left St Kitts and Nevis 16 for 3 and forced a recovery against the Knight Riders' spin attack.

Breetzke steadies the chase
Alex Hales made 9 from 11 balls before falling to Jason Holder, while Colin Munro departed for 17 at a run a ball inside the PowerPlay. Matthew Breetzke then settled the chase with an unbeaten 35 from 35 deliveries.

Champions collect their first points
The result gives the Knight Riders a winning start in their attempt to defend the championship secured in 2025. St Kitts and Nevis begin the season with a defeat after struggling to establish a defendable total in the first innings.
