  • Player of the Match Andries Gous anchored the Kings innings with 82 from 51 balls.
  • Matthew Forde conceded only eight runs when the Falcons needed 13 from the final over.

Gous carries the Kings to 187

Saint Lucia Kings asked Andries Gous to hold their innings together after choosing to bat at Arnos Vale, and the opener answered with 82 from 51 balls. He stayed from the first delivery until the 18th over while wickets kept interrupting the Kings' progress at the other end.

Ackeem Auguste's 18 was the next-highest individual score, but the lower order found enough late runs to take the total to 187 for 8. The fixture and result are available in the Falcons vs Kings match centre.

Joseph keeps the Falcons in the contest

Alzarri Joseph led the Falcons attack with 3 for 32, following his three-wicket return in the season opener. Shamar Springer added two wickets as the Kings were prevented from turning Gous' long innings into a total beyond 200.

The Falcons began the chase positively, reaching 65 in the PowerPlay and 109 by the halfway stage. Evin Lewis drove that start before the Kings' spin attack pulled the scoring rate back. Follow the chasing side through the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons team guide.

Theekshana and Chase change the chase

Maheesh Theekshana took two early wickets, while Roston Chase removed Karima Gore and Tajinder Singh during the middle overs. The Falcons slipped to 145 for 5 after 16 overs and were left needing 43 from the final four.

Fabian Allen revived the chase with an unbeaten 28 from 17 balls, including a six and a four in the 19th over. Saint Lucia still carried a 13-run cushion into the last six deliveries. Squad and season details are on the Saint Lucia Kings team page.

Forde closes the final over

Matthew Forde kept Allen away from most of the strike and gave up only eight runs in the final over. The Falcons finished on 183 for 7, four short of their target, handing the Kings a winning start to their CPL 2026 campaign.

The result leaves both teams with one win from their opening matches. Their early positions and net run rates can be followed on the CPL 2026 points table.
