Saint Lucia Kings Name Overseas Group for CPL 2026
Saint Lucia have paired two international spinners with flexible batting and seam support ahead of their opening home match on 12 August.

Two spinners who ask different questions
Noor and Theekshana give Saint Lucia two contrasting wicket-taking options. Noor turns the ball away from right-handers with left-arm wrist-spin; Theekshana can use the new ball or attack the stumps through the middle overs.
That pairing lets the Kings build their bowling plan around match-ups. Shadley van Schalkwyk supplies seam-bowling depth, while Asalanka can contribute part-time spin when needed.
Batting roles around the local core
Seifert can open and keep wicket. Asalanka gives the middle order a left-handed player who can absorb pressure or accelerate. They join a West Indian group featuring Johnson Charles, Tim Seifert's possible opening partner, and Roston Chase.
The balance leaves Saint Lucia several valid combinations. They can select both overseas spinners without shortening the batting, or add van Schalkwyk when conditions favour seam.
A home start at Daren Sammy Cricket Ground
Saint Lucia’s first match is against the Patriots on 12 August, the opening night of a five-game home block. They face Antigua the following evening and remain at Daren Sammy Cricket Ground through 21 August.
Starting at home should help the Kings settle their bowling combinations early. The overseas spinners will have immediate influence if the Gros Islet surface grips across consecutive matches.
