Saint Lucia block / CPL 2026 ground guide
Saint Lucia's modern cricket home, framed by hills and named for a two-time world champion captain.
01 / The ground
Built near Gros Islet on the outskirts of Rodney Bay, the ground opened a new era for international cricket in Saint Lucia. Completed in 2002, it hosted its first Test in 2003 and was the first Caribbean venue to stage a day-night cricket match.
The stadium was originally known as Beausejour Cricket Ground. It was formally renamed in July 2016 for Daren Sammy after the Saint Lucian captain led West Indies to ICC World Twenty20 titles in 2012 and 2016.
For CPL 2026 it is the home of a five-match Saint Lucia block, with the Kings playing from 12 to 21 August.
