Nabi and Shepherd bowl the Patriots out for 128
Guyana Amazon Warriors booked their CPL 2026 playoff place with a seven-wicket win over St Kitts & Nevis Patriots at Providence Stadium on Sunday. Patriots captain Jason Holder chose to bat in the heat, but his side never settled. Wickets fell at regular intervals, partnerships never formed, and Mohammad Nabi and Romario Shepherd did most of the damage. The pattern repeated all innings: a batter would get in, start to look settled, and then give it away before any partnership could grow into something the bowlers had to worry about.
Nabi claimed 4 for 17 and Shepherd 3 for 16 as the Patriots were bowled out for 128 in the final over. Alick Athanaze held the innings together as best he could and was the last man out, with Dasun Shanaka and Kyle Mayers offering only brief support. The full fixture list is on the CPL 2026 schedule.
Gurbaz starts fast, Hope closes it out for the Warriors
Rahmanullah Gurbaz attacked the chase from his first scoring shot, a six into the leg side, and his 39 from 25 balls pushed the required rate below a run a ball. Holder mixed his pace up with the new ball but could not slow him, and it took Wanindu Hasaranga, who finished with 1 for 23, to remove the opener.
Leg-spinner Navin Bidaisee then gave the Patriots a brief opening, dismissing Mavendra Dindyal and Shimron Hetmyer in quick succession as the Warriors lost two wickets for four runs. Shai Hope settled everything down, sharing a fourth-wicket stand of 54 with Nabi and finishing unbeaten on 38 from 44 balls as the Warriors got home with nine balls to spare.
Warriors top the CPL 2026 points table with six straight wins
The win kept the Warriors unbeaten and moved Imran Tahir's side to the top of the CPL 2026 points table with six wins, with their playoff place now confirmed. The Patriots were left fifth on seven points with one group match still to play, and no margin for error.
