In brief

Kensington Oval turns blue for the Eliminator
Kensington Oval will turn blue on Wednesday 16 September when Barbados Tridents meet Jamaica Kingsmen in the CPL Eliminator, with the evening dedicated to raising money and awareness in the fight against prostate cancer. The fundraising day is for the Sir Clive Lloyd Health Care Foundation.
Patrons going through the gates are being urged to wear blue in support of the foundation. The Eliminator gets under way at 7pm, and the home crowd will be easy to spot if the call is answered. The league says community wellbeing sits at the heart of its showpiece event, and cancer awareness remains a standing priority as the season heads into its closing matches.
Signed blue caps go under the hammer
Signed blue caps from CPL players will be auctioned on the night, with the proceeds going to the Sir Clive Lloyd Health Care Foundation. Supporters at the ground can bid, and anyone watching around the world can donate towards the cause as well.
Cancer awareness has been a standing part of the CPL's community work, and Barbados has carried the message through finals week before: the Hall of Fame gala in the Bravo and Bishop induction story also supported prostate-cancer awareness and testing.
Finals week reaches its closing stretch
The Eliminator opens the playoff run at the Kensington Oval, with the loser going home and the winner moving on to Qualifier 2. Full fixture details are on the Eliminator match centre.
The 2026 season ends at the same ground on 20 September with the final, as listed on the CPL 2026 schedule. Wednesday night, though, is about more than the result: a home crowd dressed in blue will say as much about this tournament as anything that happens in the middle.
