Guyana Amazon Warriors history and 2026 outlook
Guyana Amazon Warriors have competed in every CPL season since the inaugural 2013 tournament. Repeated trips to the final made the franchise one of the competition's most consistent contenders before the long-awaited breakthrough.
The Warriors won their first CPL championship in 2023, defeating Trinbago Knight Riders at Providence Stadium. That home triumph remains the defining moment in the franchise's tournament history.
For 2026, Shimron Hetmyer, Romario Shepherd, Shai Hope and Shamar Joseph headline a locally selected group with a strong Guyanese base. Providence hosts the final five-match venue block of the league phase.
