Trinbago Knight Riders history and 2026 outlook
The franchise entered the inaugural CPL season in 2013 as Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel, won its first title in 2015 and adopted the Trinbago Knight Riders name in 2016.
Further championships followed in 2017, 2018 and an unbeaten 2020 campaign. A fifth CPL crown in 2025 made TKR the tournament's most successful team and sends them into 2026 as defending champions.
Sunil Narine, Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard and Akeal Hosein headline a highly experienced local group. Queen's Park Oval hosts five TKR fixtures from 26 August to 2 September.
